Youth Hunter Education Challenge RULES

Oklahoma YHEC follows the National Rifle Association's International Youth Hunter Education Challenge rules, except for where we make minor adjustments to fit the program into the time available (1 day for a OYHEC event vs 5 days for the International event).

NOTE: We make minor changes such as (6) muzzleloader shots rather than (15), and (10) 3-D Archery targets rather than (30).  A few other minor changes are made, but other than tailoring the rules to fit the available time and space and making some equipment allowances for Regional events to be more inclusive, we follow the NRA YHEC rules where possible.  This is necessary for the Oklahoma YHEC events to comply with the NRA rules for qualifying events.
